What a weekend..so much to try and remember.
Many thanks to Tarikh for inviting me to join him at a private, feature length showing of Simian Mobile Disco's new video - 'Cruel Intentions' feat. Beth Ditto at the Wilkinson Gallery, 50-58 Vyner St, London. What he'd described as a few free drinks and a token SMD Dj set due to finish at 11ish turned out to be a full-blown rave that carried on into the wee hours...
The video is Directed by Saam Farahmand, who put on the night and played an outrageous DJ set before Simian, and whose original visuals were sheer class and played a huge part in making the night so memorable. I'm hopefully getting a track-listing off him so will try and get some of them up here soon.
Simian themselves played a banging tech house set which really brought me round to them again having been a little disappointed last time I saw them. And I'm liking the new tune a little bit more every time i hear it...
